16. Who owns the data generated on the system?
  The short answer is YOU. There are two sorts of information: your registration data (personal & company) and the data generated through usage of the system (for instance price quotes). Regarding the first item European law clearly prohibits the resale of these data without the explicit authorization of the registering person, which we are not asking for.
Regarding data generated through usage of the system (price quotes, order confirmations, etc.) this information is your property and remains your property. ChemUnity reserves the right to extract certain statistical information on the basis of for instance EINECS, UNSPSC or CAS codes for your own benefit (this allows ChemUnity to report to you how your purchases compare to an industry average). In no case any extracted statistical data might lead back to user-specific information, even through indirect deduction.
