Are you an e-Business Manager with budget constraints? Here are two products that could give you a head start!
1) OPPORTUNITY SCAN
Throughout the past 3 years ChemUnity has helped dozens of companies [read references] to detect opportunities to improve existing business processes by applying the Internet, developing our own methodology in the process. Now this methodology is available for your company also! We have bundled all our industry-specific knowledge into a standard program called the e-business Opportunity Scan.
This scan is set up modularly and starts with a top-management intake-session followed by four or more half-day user sessions involving people from your purchasing-, sales-, production- and IT-departments. After processing and evaluations, we present the results to management, delivering a very tangible report with a list of "actionable" opportunities and recommendations.
A few examples:
- Can your existing EDI-infrastructure be used to multiply your connected customer-base?
- Where could you deploy VMI-contracts and how do you handle supplier-lock-in?
- Does it make sense to set up a sell-side website for your customers?
- How best to segment your purchase portfolio to optimize the usage of Reverse Auctions, RFQs and catalogues?
The Opportunity Scan isn't about suggesting solutions: it's independent of any software application, including our own. Instead it's about clearly detecting and prioritizing the various opportunities, serving as a good start for you to set your own e-business agenda.
2) E-AWARENESS TRAINING
While [e-business] managers might have developed a clear vision, the hardest part is often getting all your colleagues on board mentally: a typical "change-management" issue. Our one-day e-awareness training session (for up to 16 people) can be an enjoyable way for your colleagues to get hands-on experience with e-commerce tools.
After a general 90-minute "e-commerce landscape" review, the group splits up and enters the simulated business, set-up specifically for your company with your help. Finally, the wrap-up includes a moderated discussion involving all participants and -for the fun in it- the announcement of the winning group.
Yours sincerely,
