ChemUnicator - Issue 20 - August 2002 "This will really impact my workload positively!" one of our current users recently mentioned when seeing the test version of our release V 4.0, scheduled to go live in September. The feature she was most excited about was our "recurring RFQ" scheduler for those negotiations you typically carry out monthly, quarterly or in any other interval. Based on your initial criteria, the system automatically prepares each new draft-RFQ, sends it out to the appropriate suppliers, follows up with reminders where necessary and only notifies you once you need to start negotiating... And negotiating is exactly what our test user wants to have more time for! But there’s a lot more to version 4.0. For instance, RFQs (which already handle multiple products and multiple delivery locations) now also feature "multiple brand names", so that within a single RFQ competing suppliers won’t see each other’s specific brand names. In a different section "message rooms" will store negotiations and other RFQ-related discussions in clear, linear threads. The list of improvements to the workability and look & feel goes on and on... and best of all: the upgrade is free of charge to all our current customers and it won’t affect our pricelist for new customers.
