	ChemUnicator - Issue 5 - March 2001 Purchasing professionals and e-commerce managers from more than forty companies in five countries took part in ChemUnity's Feedback Sessions to discuss the evolving needs of chemicals buyers in the e-commerce age. The high quality discussions offered excellent insight in the approach companies are taking towards implementing e-commerce strategies. All participants enjoyed the occasion to exchange experiences with other companies. Although e-Procurement appears to be in its infancy, it was noted that most multinational companies are focusing on connectivity with the outside world. Here, the sourcing functionality that was presented by ChemUnity received positive response. The sourcing functionality creates better overview for the Purchasing Department, combined with efficient communication. Medium sized companies recognized the sourcing functionality as a potentially strong tool. However, few medium sized companies are expected to be amongst the leaders in adopting full fledged e-Procurement systems. Very valuable input for further development of our next generation platform was given during these sessions. The current net market place was once again confirmed to be the best in its league. With the feedback received, ChemUnity plans to significantly expand its offering. Again, I would like to express my thanks to all participants for their time and their enthusiastic contribution.
