Software provider ChemUnity (The Netherlands) has added four modules to its Sourcing Portal portfolio.
The new Inventory Monitoring Module handles automatic replenishment triggers; Fulfilment supports multiple-delivery purchase orders; Integration links with existing ERP systems and other e-commerce initiatives; and an Intelligence module supports optimal purchase decisions.
Through the modular approach, companies can progressively grow from the pragmatic web-browser-based Sourcing Portal to a completely XML-integrated Procurement Suite where all routine processes throughout the entire direct-goods supply chain are automated, ChemUnity says.
The portal can save time and money by integrating information scattered throughout organizations, and allows purchasing professionals to shift attention from routine activities like emitting replenishment orders to more strategic issues as negotiating critical contracts and detecting market trends, ChemUnity adds.
