For products that are bought on the basis of quarterly or yearly contracts the exact timing of partial shipments isn’t normally known beforehand. Using the Sourcing Portal, an RFQ for multiple deliveries is sent to the suppliers, and once the winning supplier is selected the fulfilment module is used for each separate call-off. It is important to note that the fulfilment module does not replicate the supplier’s own ERP or sell-side solution: instead the purpose of this module is to provide insight into the supplier’s own system or hub such as Elemica.
