Does it make sense for your company to implement the Sourcing Portal? This is a valid question which may best be answered by requesting ChemUnity's "Procurement Quick Scan", which we have developed in house based on the experience of various assessment exercises with different prospects.
The quick scan, which normally takes two days, is designed to assess what savings could potentially be generated within your organisation. The methodology starts by analysing the product portfolio, categorizing the different types of products being bought with questions as "What restrictions exist to switching suppliers?", "How many suppliers are currently included?", "Is the product bought over multiple locations?", etc.
Though a ChemUnity executive will guide the process, a designated person from your purchase team will provide the actual data, meaning the result of the scan will be based on your own company's data.
At the end of the second day, the results are presented to management and the deliverables remain your property. These include a list of the analysed product groups and a summary of the recommendations.
Note: depending on the size of your organization and the level of detail required, a longer procurement scan may be required.
